A used engine for a BMW F10 or F11

Diesels

Early 520d is N47. Later 520d is B47. 525d, 530d and 535d are N57, with more turbos as the badge climbs. The M550d is the tri-turbo N57. An E60 M57 will not fit this car.

BavarianEnginesStore.org splits those listings. A 2011 520d photo is not a 2016 B47.

Petrols

528i is typically N20. 535i is N55. 550i is N63. The M5 is S63. Hybrid ActiveHybrid cars are not a normal 535i.

Match the N63 update if the car is a 550i. Early and later valley parts differ.

xDrive

Many F11 cars are xDrive. The sump and the front driveshaft clearance matter. Say xDrive on the order even if the code matches a rear-drive listing.

The transfer case is not included.

Checks

N47 chain noise is the question on early 520d cars. N57 buyers look at turbos and swirl hardware. N63 buyers look at oil use and the valley. Read the photos for what is actually fitted.

Gearbox is ZF 8-speed on most of these. It is a separate part.

Warranty is up to 12 months on eligible internal failure after a correct fit.

Warranty

Eligible engines carry a warranty of up to 12 months after a correct installation by a workshop. The warranty covers eligible internal failure. It does not cover a mismatched fitment, a dry start, the wrong oil, or damage caused after the crate is opened.

Shipping

Crane crates from Hamburg is a flat 299,00 €. The engine is packed for freight and delivered to the address on the order. A forklift or an engine crane is required at delivery. The shipment is arranged to the destination the buyer provides.
