A used engine for a BMW G30 or G31

The modular set

The G30 left the N57 and N20 behind. Diesels are B47 fours and B57 sixes. Petrols are B48 fours and B58 sixes, with N63 still used on V8 cars. A 530d is a B57. An F10 530d is an N57. BavarianEnginesStore.org will not treat those as one listing.

A photo of a B57 from a 540d or 740d is the right family and still needs your exact code and sump checked.

Badges

520d is a B47. 530d and 540d are B57 tunes. 530i and 540i are petrols, B48 or B58 by output. M550i is an N63. The M5 is an S63. Plug-in 530e is a B48 plus a hybrid system.

Do not order a 530e engine for a 530i without reading the hybrid parts.

Fitment

xDrive is common on the G31. Say so. Mild-hybrid versions add a starter-generator that a plain listing may not have. If your car has that hardware, say so before we crate a non-hybrid unit.

Gearboxes are the later ZF units. Not included unless shown.

Checks

Look at turbo, sump and emissions parts in the photos. These engines are rear-chain designs. A rattle note matters. Coding and injector codes are the workshop's job on arrival.

Cooling pipes should be checked while the engine is out.

Ordering

VIN and code. Tell us if it is a hybrid. We would rather correct the order than ship an F10 engine into a G30 bay.

Warranty cover is up to 12 months on eligible internal failure after correct fitting.

Warranty

Eligible engines carry a warranty of up to 12 months after a correct installation by a workshop. The warranty covers eligible internal failure. It does not cover a mismatched fitment, a dry start, the wrong oil, or damage caused after the crate is opened.

Shipping

Crane crates from Hamburg is a flat 299,00 €. The engine is packed for freight and delivered to the address on the order. A forklift or an engine crane is required at delivery. The shipment is arranged to the destination the buyer provides.
